Winter Percussion and Guard Competition
Saturday, March 29th

This week is Champs week and time to build on all the work this season. Practice sessions are at the regular times for both guard and percussion. Permission slips, as usual, are due Wednesday. Carpool sign-ups are on Thursday.

Schedule for TOC
EAT breakfast before arriving!

11:25 am.....Call time for equipment crew. Load trailer.
12:07 am.....Call time for entire ensembles. Guard, arrive in costume with hair / make-up done. Percussion, bring your uniform.
12:20 pm.....Leave RHS. We MUST stay on schedule.
1:20 pm.....Arrive at Del Oro HS. Follow direction of instructors.
2:15 pm.....All get snacks from boosters.
3:45 pm.....Guard - stand by.
3:50 pm.....Guard - PERFORMANCE!
4:00 pm.....Finish performance, go to pictures, percussion fold floor. When finished return to trailer for dinner.
7:05 pm.....Percussion - stand by.
7:10 pm.....Percussion - PERFORMANCE
7:30 pm.....Finish performance, go to pictures, fold floor.
8:00 pm.....Awards ceremony.
About 8:45 pm.....Return to vehicles to load trailer for return to RHS.
About 10:45pm.....Arrive at RHS. Unload trailer!

Elk Grove Winter Percussion and Guard Competition

Practices this week: Guard – regular times on Tuesday & Thursday. Percussion – Monday 3-6, Wednesday 3-6, Thursday 3-7 (because of the Science Fair), Friday – sectionals 5-7. Those scheduled to help at the Science Fair can come to sectionals afterwards.

PLEASE NOTE: Our performance times have changed since this itinerary was issued. The percussion performance time is 11:30 am and the guard is 5:10 pm. Awards are now at 8:15 pm.

Schedule for Saturday, March 22nd

7:35 am Call time for equipment crew. Load trailer.
8:15 am Call time for group. Percussion come dressed in uniform & bring a change of clothes. Guard, bring your uniform.
8:30 am Leave RHS.
9:00 am Arrive at Elk Grove HS. Unload trailer & begin warm-ups.
11:10 am Stand by.
11:20 am Percussion PERFORMANCE! Guard, thanks for your help.
11:30 am Finish performance, move equipment & floor to location to fold. When finished, ALL return to trailer for lunch.
After lunch Load trailer with exception of floor, flags and P3. Guard may begin warming up after changing into costume.
3:00 pm Guard begin formal warm-up with Mr. Moreno.
4:30 pm Stand by.
4:40 pm Guard PERFORMANCE! Percussion, thanks for your help!
5:00 pm Finish performance, move floor to location for folding.
About 5:10 pm Leave to return to RHS. Unload trailer. If you wish to return to Elk Grove for the awards, you must state your intent on your permission slip. There will be limited seats in return vehicles. Dinner is on your own. Be aware there are over 50 groups for the one awards ceremony. Space in their gym is a premium because it’s much smaller than ours!!
7:45 pm Awards ceremony at Elk Grove gym.
Award attendees expect to arrive at RHS about 9:00 pm.
We have a limited number of parking passes that get into the parking lot.
If I do not have a parking pass for you, please follow the directions of the parking attendants as to the location of public parking.
Directions to Elk Grove High School - 9800 Elk Grove-Florin Road
Turn left out of RHS parking lot. Take Kiefer to South Watt Avenue. Turn left.
Follow South Watt Avenue. It becomes Elk Grove-Florin Road.
Turn Right at Valley Oak Drive just prior to the school grounds.

Parents – the admission charge for this show is $7.00 for everyone.

10:00 am Designated trailer crew call time. They are – Brian, Ethan, Evan, Savion, Christian, Briettny, Ashley, and Jaime. Load trailer.
11:20 am Full group call time. Make sure to eat breakfast!
Guard, come with hair & make-up done.
11:45 am Group leave RHS.
12:20 pm Arrive at Woodcreek HS. Unload trailer.
2:00 pm Designated guard warm-up.
2:20 pm Guard PERFORMANCE
2:30 pm Finish performance, move equipment & floor to location to fold. When finished return to trailer for snack.
4:50 pm Designated percussion warm-up time.
5:00 pm Stand by.
5:10 pm Percussion PERFORMANCE
5:20 pm Finish performance, move equipment & floor to location for percussion to fold. When finished return to trailer for dinner.
About 6:30 pm Load trailer.
About 7:30 pm Awards ceremony @ Woodcreek.
About 8:30 pm Arrive at RHS. Unload trailer.
